About Us
Who we are
Faithful Friends Pet Rescue and Rehoming, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of dogs and cats in Gainesville, FL and the surrounding communities. We pride ourselves on being family-friendly, all volunteer-run, and inclusive.
Since our founding in 2018, we have found homes for over 3,000 animals! In this upcoming year we will do even more!!!
What we do
Founded in February 2018, Faithful Friends Pet Rescue and Rehoming, Inc. is an organization dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of dogs and cats. While we are always happy for high adoption numbers, that is never our focus. Our focus is always the animals themselves - providing the best care for each animal in our program while we search for a loving, permanent home.
We have weekly adoption events on Saturdays at the Archer Road Petsmart. We would love to see you!
How we do it
Faithful Friends Pet Rescue and Rehoming is primarily foster-based, and we are always looking for new foster homes. We provide all necessary supplies and cover all medical expenses for the pets in our foster program. Foster homes are responsible for providing a loving, safe temporary home as well as transport to/from veterinary appointments and adoption events. As a volunteer based organization we are always looking for new volunteers. Volunteers perform various functions such as helping with transporting animals from shelters, assisting at adoption events, as well as helping at community networking events.
