Volunteer in Gainesville

Volunteers primarily help with adoption events. Most adoption events will be held at the PetSmart on Archer Rd. Opportunities include; dog walking, puppy patrol, cat watching, setup/breakdown, and adoption counseling. Faithful Friends welcomes Youth Volunteers!  We do require that any underage volunteers be accompanied and under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian at all times for their safety and the safety of our adoptable cats and dogs. Interested in volunteering with a work or school group? We welcome groups to join us at Adoption and Special Events. Additional opportunities exist in coordinating fundraisers and supply drives. Please contact us via email to obtain further information or scheduling a volunteer group.

While our primary need for volunteers is during our adoption events, we occasionally have opportunities to volunteer at special events. These events range from staffing an information table at a local festival, attending or assisting with a fundraising event, and even making dog toys for dogs in our care! Assist with transport of animals to either the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in Gainesville, FL or to our kennel facility on Micanopy, FL. Occasionally we will take an animal from another county in Florida and we need volunteers willing to assist in transporting the animal from their location.
